Another of my CSE 360 projects; we were required to research Open Source solutions to a book management system that a library could use. It would need to be a web-accessible system, have user accounts, admin accounts, and track books.

We decided on a web-based system using mainly HTML/CSS/Javascript. We didn’t have to actually build the system (yet) but this was an exercise in searching for existing available software that could be freely used rather than reinventing the wheel.

Aside from doing much of the research for this project, I created the UML diagrams in ArgoUML (which is OSS as well), and I thought was very easy to pick up and work with. Too bad it seems development has stalled 🙁
